The FrankenCoder installer is digitally signed with an Extended Validation (EV) code-signing certificate issued to CeardTech LLC. However, because this is a brand-new certificate with a brand-new product, Windows SmartScreen and some antivirus tools may temporarily flag the installer until enough users have run it for Microsoft and AV vendors to build a reputation score. This is normal for any newly signed application and is a known limitation of reputation-based filtering — it is not an indicator that the software is unsafe.
Independently verified clean. The installer has been submitted to VirusTotal, which runs the file against 68+ antivirus engines in parallel:
0 / 68 detections — view full VirusTotal report →
If Windows SmartScreen blocks the installer:
- On the “Windows protected your PC” dialog, click More info.
- Verify the publisher line reads CeardTech LLC.
- Click Run anyway to proceed with the install.
If your antivirus flags or quarantines the installer: add an exclusion for the downloaded file (or its install directory after extraction), or submit the file to your AV vendor as a false positive. Once a few users have run the signed installer cleanly, SmartScreen and most reputation-based AV engines will stop warning automatically.
The VirusTotal report above is tied to the SHA-256 hash of the currently published installer. If you download a future updated build, a fresh scan will be published and linked here.
